I find that one of the keys to successful therapy is the ability to be heard and understood.  I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice with over 18 years of experience, providing support and skill development to couples, families, individuals, and children.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort and should occur in a safe, trusting environment to help explore beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be getting in the way of your ability to develop and maintain happiness and peace of mind.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma/PTSD, relationship problems, transitional problems, and substance use disorders.

I use a variety of clinical approaches depending on the presenting concern(s).  I use Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples with a focus of how each person communicates their wants and needs.  I want to help change the interrelational pattern from one of anger, blame, criticism, and feeling disconnected to one of being able to establish a means of understanding each other’s experiences and begin to get closure on issues that have been barriers to a healthier relationship in the past.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is critical to a positive experience in therapy, so I strive to connect with everyone with whom I work.

I support the practice that people have within themselves the potential for their own healing power and I help to facilitate the means and skills to get you on your path to feeling better about how you move through life.  I look forward to meeting with you and see how together we can begin the process for change.

It begins with a phone call.
